Qingdao University was founded in 1909. Qingdao University is situated in the eastern seaside city of Qingdao, China, between the coast of the Yellow Sea and Mount Fushan. Surrounded by a beautiful setting where the rich local culture is blended with the spirit of the times. The university has 34 colleges and 100 undergraduate majors, covering 11 major disciplines including literature, art, history, philosophy, science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, law and education.

MBBS in English Medium
The Qingdao University Medical College is recognized by the World Health Organization and is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. Ningxia University is PMC A Listed & recognized by Pakistan Medical Commission. Qingdao University is also in the name list of the first universities authorized by the Education Ministry of China to enroll international students to study clinical medicine (MBBS taught in English).
In 2006, Qingdao University started a 6-year MBBS program in English (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science). Now we have hundreds of international students from India, Thailand, Nepal and many more participating in this program.
School of Medicine Qingdao University
Qingdao University School of Medicine is one of the first batch of higher medical schools approved by the State Council to grant master’s degrees, and is a pilot university for the Ministry of Education’s Excellent Doctor Training Program. The medical education of Qingdao University originated from the Qingdao Special Higher Education School in 1909. With the changes of history, it has experienced different school periods such as Qingdao Medical School, Qingdao Medical University, and Qingdao Medical College.
The Faculty of Medicine has 5 colleges including the School of Basic Medicine, the School of Nursing, the School of Stomatology, the School of Public Health, and the School of Pharmacy. There are 4 departments including the Department of Clinical Medicine, the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, the Department of Medical Imaging, and the Department of Pediatrics, with 18 The clinical medical school and a teaching hospital have more than 20,000 beds for teaching practice.
The Department of Medicine currently has 9 undergraduate majors in clinical medicine, medical laboratory science, medical imaging, pediatrics, preventive medicine, stomatology, pharmacy, nursing, and biotechnology. Clinical medicine is a national characteristic specialty and a provincial key specialty.
There are 7,390 students in the Faculty of Medicine, 2,735 master and doctoral students, and 360 international students. There are 424 full-time teachers, including 240 professors and associate professors. The library of the Ministry of Medicine has a collection of 425,000 books, and the “Journal of Qingdao University (Medical Edition)” and “Journal of Precision Medicine” are publicly issued at home and abroad.
Affiliated Hospitals
The Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University is a hospital directly affiliated to the Ministry of Medicine. It was established in 1898. It is a provincial comprehensive tertiary first-class hospital and a designated hospital for direct health care, which integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation.
Currently, the hospital has 5,186 beds open in the South District, Laoshan District, West Coast District, and North District of the hospital. The hospital has 6 million outpatient and emergency visits, 243,000 discharged and 129,000 operations. It has 2 national-level key clinical disciplines (specialties), 33 provincial-level key clinical disciplines, and first-level clinical medicine was selected as the first-class discipline in Shandong Province. In 2019, it was approved as a first-class undergraduate construction site by the Ministry of Education. In 2018, the hospital was selected as the first batch of national clinical teaching and training demonstration centers.
Hostels
All dorm rooms include a bathroom, TV set, telephone, air-conditioner, Central Heating system, student table, single bed, mattress, and bedding, which includes pillows, blankets, and sheets. All bathrooms include a shower and a Western toilet, and all rooms can be equipped with a wireless Internet connection.

- After issuance of admission notice all fees must be paid in university account and management fee, admission processing fee of amount 11,500 RMB must be paid immediately (non-refundable) and the remaining amount shall be paid before commencing of classes.
- Hostel fee, visa, medical and insurance fee is not included in 1st year fee package due to online classes and shall be paid accordingly upon arrival.
- All fee once paid is non-refundable.
- Admission process, Airport pickup, settling of the student in university (including hostel allotment) and other registration process services will be provided by the company responsible for the admission process.
- Air ticket, stationery and food expenses are not included in the fee package.
- Student will follow the rules, regulations and teaching pattern of University, MOE China and PMC.
